The Graduate Program in Law aims to capture the transformative knowledge of society within the dynamic field of law and to articulate it critically and constructively within the legal sphere. In the transition from classical to contemporary perspectives, it embraces an interdisciplinary vision, aspiring for a graduate program without territorial and epistemological borders, created, developed, and consolidated in the Master’s Course. It fosters spaces for teacher training and research within a scientific community aiming to develop mechanisms to effectively broaden its horizons for social efficacy.
This is an open and plural program, grounded in the principles of critical dogmatics, and founded on a porosity of knowledge that continuously reconstructs the emancipatory possibilities of Law in Brazilian society. In the Graduate Program in Legal Sciences, research lines and projects are articulated with three areas of concentration. The realization of research projects aligns with the challenges of quality education and the social function of the public university. Furthermore, the activities reflect a commitment to the effectiveness of the principles and rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic as a dynamic instrument of social transformation.
